How it works

What is ceramic window tint?

Ceramic IR is Union’s carbon film with a ceramic layer added to stop infrared heat. Infrared is the heat you feel on your arm through the glass. Because the ceramic layer does that work, you can choose a light shade and still keep the car cool.

Questions

Ceramic window tinting questions

Is ceramic tint worth it in Phoenix?

For most Arizona drivers, yes. Ceramic IR blocks up to 87% of infrared heat, against 75% for Carbon IR, so the car heats up less and cools down faster.

Will ceramic film block my phone or GPS?

No. Ceramic IR has no metal in it, so phones, GPS, radio and keyless entry work as normal.

Do I need a dark shade to keep the heat out?

No. Heat and shade are separate choices. Ceramic IR blocks heat in every shade, so a light shade still keeps the car cooler.

How long does ceramic film take to dry?

It can take a little longer than other films. Keep the windows up for about a week; a little haze while it dries is normal.

How much does ceramic tint cost?

It depends on your vehicle, how many windows and whether old tint comes off. Ask for a free quote and we’ll give you a clear price.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — Union Window Films’ lifetime warranty against cracking, bubbling, delamination and fading.
