Union Window Films

Which Union film is right for you?

We fit two Union Window Films car films. Both keep their color, both block 99.99% of UV, and both carry Union’s lifetime warranty. The difference is how much infrared heat they stop.

The everyday choice

Carbon IR

A carbon film that holds its color and stays black, never purple. A real step up in comfort over dyed film.

Infrared heat blocked
75%
UV blocked
99.99%

The most heat blocked

Ceramic IR

The same carbon base with a ceramic layer built to stop heat — the clearest view and the most heat control Union offers.

No metal in either film, so phones, GPS, radio and keyless entry work as normal.

Tint shades

See the shades on a car

Pick a shade to see it on the glass, from the darkest to nearly clear. The number is how much light gets through: 5% is the darkest, 70% is barely there.

The daily-driver balance

Privacy, real heat control and a factory look. On the front side windows it sits right at Arizona’s 33% line once the glass is counted, so we measure your glass before we fit it.

Afterwards: keep the windows up for about a week. A little haze while the film dries is normal. Clean with a soft cloth and no ammonia.

Questions

Car window tinting questions

How long does car window tinting take?

About 1 to 5 hours, depending on the vehicle and how many windows. We work by appointment, so your car isn’t rushed.

How dark can I tint my car in Arizona?

The front side windows must let more than 33% of light through, film and glass together. The rear side windows and back window can be any shade, as long as you have mirrors on both sides. The windshield can have a strip across the very top.

What’s the difference between Carbon IR and Ceramic IR?

Both block 99.99% of UV and keep their color. Carbon IR blocks up to 75% of infrared heat; Ceramic IR adds a ceramic layer and blocks up to 87%, with the clearest view.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

Union Window Films’ lifetime warranty covers cracking, bubbling, delamination and fading for the life of the film.

How long should I keep my windows up?

About a week, so the film settles. A little haze or a few water spots while it dries is normal and clears on its own.

How do I clean tinted windows?

Use a soft, clean cloth and a cleaner without ammonia. Don’t scrape the glass with a blade.

Can you take off old tint?

Yes. We remove old, faded or bubbling film and clean the glass before the new film goes on. Mention it when you ask for a quote.
